Job summary

Connex Education Partnership is seeking a Teaching Assistant to work on a supply basis in the Ashby-de-la-Zouch area starting ASAP. You will support pupils aged 4–11, assist in lessons, and help foster a positive learning environment.

The role offers weekly pay (£400-£500), PAYE weekly, and opportunities for skill development through our TA toolkit and funded qualifications. A current UK DBS check or willingness to obtain one is required.

• Experience in an educational environment with children aged 4–11 years.
• Ability to support on a 1:1 basis or in small groups.
• Good behaviour management skills.
• Knowledge of Phonics and Read, Write Inc.
• Organised and reliable.
• Enhanced DBS (update service) or willing to obtain one.
• Willing to go the extra mile.

About the role

Connex Education is in partnership with Primary Schools within the Ashby-de-la-Zouch area to recruit a Teaching Assistant to work on a supply basis starting ASAP.

You will have strong teamwork skills as the school in question has a key focus on teamwork and collaboration to be able to achieve student and school goals. This school is at the heart of a thriving and creative community, and you will need to meet high standards and match the ambitious expectations alongside the staff and the governors. A key ethos and aim for this school are to ensure all learners are provided focused support to ensure excellent progress is made.

Duties will include general classroom support for all pupils in KS1 and KS2, facilitating learning through play and small group interventions for pupils requiring additional help. The successful candidate must have the ability to work in close partnership with the Class Teacher in helping to promote the acquisition of learning goals.

Person Specification
