Job summary

Bolton Council is seeking a passionate Teaching and Learning Assistant at Level 2 + SEN for a secondary academy. The role supports pupils aged 11-16 under teacher supervision, assisting with learning targets and managing behaviour.

GRADE D SCP 11 - 17 (£25,989 - £28,142)

PLUS, SEN ALLOWANCE £1,539

ACTUAL SALARY £17,848.12 - £19,326.70

PLUS, SEN ALLOWANCE £1,056.91

30.25 HOURS PER WEEK

YOUR MAIN DUTIES WOULD BE:
  • To work with and supervise individuals and groups of students under the direction/instruction of teaching and/or senior staff, inclusive of specific individual learning needs, supporting target setting for students and enabling access to learning for all students.
  • Assisting in managing students' sometimes significant and challenging behavior through the use of a range of strategies and techniques.
