Job summary

The Bishop Fraser Trust is seeking a passionate Teaching and Learning Assistant Level 2 + SEN (Secondary) to join our 11-16 academy in Bolton. This permanent post is 30.25 hours per week, term time plus 1 day, supporting pupils with SEN and helping deliver inclusive learning.

Qualifications

  • Experience supporting pupils with SEN in an education setting.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and communicate with pupils, parents and staff.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise individuals and groups of students under teaching staff supervision.
  • Support learning and enable access to learning for all students.

ACTUAL SALARY £17,848.12 £19,326.70

PLUS, SEN ALLOWANCE £1,056.91

YOUR MAIN DUTIES WOULD BE:
  • To work with and supervise individuals and groups of students under the direction/instruction of teaching and/or senior staff, inclusive of specific individual learning needs, supporting target setting for students and enabling access to learning for all students.
  • Assisting in managing students’ sometimes significant and challenging behavior through the use of a range of strategies and techniques.
