About The School

Position: Teaching and Learning Assistant

Salary: L4 - scl pt 4 - 7, £23,114 - £24,294

Hours: 32.50 hours, Monday to Friday, during term time

Job Purpose

The successful candidate will:

• Demonstrate professional standards for Teaching Assistants, with relevant qualifications or evidence of ongoing qualification
• Have knowledge of primary pedagogy and child development
• Support teachers in delivering learning activities
• Be passionate about inclusion and committed to teamwork
• Maintain a positive attitude, high expectations, and flexibility
• Be motivated, enthusiastic, and inspire children
• Have experience with Key Stage 1 and 2, and Early Years
• Possess a caring personality focused on children's well-being and progress

Key Duties and Responsibilities

This role includes:

• Providing classroom cover for up to 3 days during short-term absences
• Supporting learning activities for individuals, groups, and classes under a qualified teacher’s guidance
• Adapting learning programmes to meet pupils’ needs
• Assessing, recording, and reporting on pupils’ development and progress
• Supporting pupils’ social and emotional well-being
