Location: York • Pay: £13.68 – £15.00 per hour • Flexible hours available

Castle Education are delighted to be working with a friendly and inclusive primary school near York. Known for its supportive ethos and commitment to helping every child flourish, this school is now seeking a caring and proactive Teaching and Learning Assistant to join their team.

Responsibilities
  • Supporting pupils’ learning, development and confidence throughout the school day
  • Working closely with class teachers to create a fun and engaging learning environment
  • Providing tailored 1:1 and small group support
  • Encouraging independence, creativity and emotional wellbeing
  • Helping pupils feel safe, valued and motivated to succeed
  • Building positive, trusting relationships with pupils and colleagues
Requirements
  • Experienced in working with children (in school or a similar setting)
  • A positive, proactive team player with a can-do attitude
  • A clear communicator who can adapt to different situations
  • Patient, flexible and genuinely passionate about helping young people thrive
