Job summary

Stanton-in-Peak C of E Primary School is seeking a dedicated SEND Teaching and Learning Assistant to support 1:1 and whole-class work in the infant department. The successful candidate will be caring, patient and have an understanding of SEND needs, including Autism and ADHD.

You will assist in enabling pupils to access the curriculum, safeguarding, and promoting health and wellbeing to ensure a safe, supportive classroom where every child can thrive.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting pupils with SEND.
• Ability to work with children in an infant class.
• Patient, caring and proactive in addressing needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 support and small-group assistance to pupils.
• Support delivery of whole-class activities and curriculum access.
• Support safeguarding, health and wellbeing to maintain a safe learning environment.

Stanton-in-Peak C of E Primary School is seeking to appoint a dedicated and highly motivated S

END Teaching and Learning Assistant for 1:1 and whole class work in an infant class. We are looking for someone caring, kind, with an understanding of SEND needs including Autism and ADHD. The ideal candidate should have initiative and experience at supporting pupils with SEND needs.

You will also provide teacher and pupil support to enable pupils to access all areas of the school curriculum and enhance pupil achievement working with infant pupils. You will assist in a range of support activities in relation to individuals’ needs, safeguarding, care, health and wellbeing of the pupils to ensure a safe and secure environment and that every child thrives.

Working hours are as follows:

Monday to Friday - 8.30-12pm

This post will start as soon as possible and will be for the 26/27 academic year. This post may be lengthened depending on need and funding.
