Job summary

Highfield Leadership Academy in Blackpool is seeking a dedicated Teaching Support Assistant to work with pupils from disadvantaged backgrounds. You will provide tailored support to help learners access and progress in lessons.

The role requires excellent organisational and interpersonal skills, the ability to work one-to-one, in small groups and with whole classes, and to collaborate with teachers and the Star community. Commitment to safeguarding and supporting inclusive education is essential.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 Teaching Assistant or equivalent.
• Experience of working with children in a school setting.
• Ability to maintain positive relationships with students and other adults.
• Ability to work with pupils one-to-one, in small groups and whole class.
• Ability to work effectively within a team.

Highfield Leadership Academy is a state-of-the-art mixed secondary school for 11 to 16-year-olds in Blackpool. You will be committed to making a positive difference to young people’s lives and in supporting and developing their learning. Your intervention will help enable an outstanding learning environment for our young people, providing the support they need to succeed.

The successful candidate will be a committed team player with excellent organisational and technical skills. You will have the ability to effectively support learning and teaching, and to develop relationships across our school and the Star community.

You will have:
