Qualifications

Job Description:

*TEACHERS SEN & TEACHING ASSISTANTS REQUIRED*

Our client is seeking enthusiastic committed professionals to join them as Teachers or Teaching Assistants to support them in their new service, this will be for male students who will have a mixture of SEND needs and requirements. They offer small, structured classes for implementing Individual Education and Behaviour Plans. These plans adapt curricula for pupils’ abilities, Key Stages, and needs, leading to nationally recognised accreditation from Entry Level to GCSE. With only eight pupils, we maintain a high staff-to-pupil ratio to meet diverse needs. The successful candidate will:

  • Plan and teach lessons, working with small groups and individual students.
  • Understand and promote the benefits of teaching outdoors
  • Prepare teaching materials, take registers and write reports
  • Help students develop confidence, independence and encourage them to learn
  • Manage behaviour, mark work and talk to parents and carers about their children's progress
  • Outdoor education/outdoor adventure experience would be desirable

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • A committed and passionate view of students with SEND
  • At least two years’ experience minimum of working in a SEND environment or similar unit/provision
  • Primary or Secondary experience
  • QTS/QTLS is advantageous
