Job summary

Woodbury School in a rural setting seeks a certificated teacher for Year 1 (Kura Tuatahi) on a fixed-term, part-time basis for 2027. The position is 0.2 FTE, with Start Date 01/02/2027 and End Date 13/12/2027 (Teacher leave).

You will teach across English, Health and Physical Education, Learning Languages, Mathematics and Statistics, Science, Social Sciences, Technology, Te reo Māori and The Arts, and work closely with colleagues to support student learning and well-being.

Responsibilities

• Teach in Year 1 class for 0.2 FTE (one day per week).

We are a well-resourced rural school sitting at the foot of the Four Peaks Range. We are less than 10 minutes from Geraldine in South Canterbury, and receive amazing family and community support.

We have a fixed term, part-time positions available for the duration of 2027. This is in our YEAR 1 class, at .2FTTE (one day per week).

You need to be collegial and able to work well in a team, be creative and resourceful. While being responsible for your own learning space, you will integrate regularly with other classes so will need to be highly collaborative. We have a continual focus on our core values, so the ability to model and explicitly teach these to our students on a day-to-day basis is essential.
