Job summary
Warwick College Group is seeking a dedicated candidate to support Teaching and Learning programmes across college sites. The role involves assessing learners, mentoring progress, and ensuring portfolio evidence meets qualification requirements.
Travel to other sites is expected, with a DBS check and safeguarding compliance. The post requires Level 3 teaching qualifications, relevant awards, and a driving licence.
Qualifications
- Minimum Level 3 qualification in Teaching or Education.
- GCSE English and Maths (C or above).
- Assessor award or willingness to achieve.
- Internal Verification award or willingness to achieve.
- UK driving licence and access to own vehicle.
Responsibilities
- Assess students on a Teaching/Learning course against exam-board criteria focusing on occupational competence.
- Guide and support students to complete their qualification successfully.
- Mentor candidates and monitor academic and vocational progress with formal progress reviews.
- Carry out formal assessments and moderations; support learners with portfolio evidence for verification.
- Check completion of occupational competencies; liaise with tutors on delivery and completion.
- Ensure students follow Health & Safety guidelines and keep tracking up to date.
- Attend college-delivered ‘Teaching Essentials’ training.
