Secondary Teacher of Physical Education

Salary: £33,594 - £50,589

Hours: 35 per week

We are seeking an inspirational and passionate teacher of Physical Education to join the established Health and Wellbeing department at The Royal High School.

About The Royal High School

The Royal High School is one of Scotland's oldest schools, combining a rich history with a commitment to innovation. It is a non-denominational, 6-year comprehensive school serving students from four catchment primary schools: Blackhall, Clermiston, Cramond, and Davidson's Mains.

The school was inspected by HMIE in December 2022 and boasts high-standard facilities, including recent refurbishments and extensive community use. It is designated as a Community Sports Hub, with refurbished PE facilities and a vibrant extracurricular program.

Additional Information

Requirements

This post involves regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate must join the PVG Scheme or undergo an update check. If you have spent more than three months outside the UK in the last five years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. The offer of employment is contingent upon satisfactory completion of these checks.
