Your new role

Supply teachers play a crucial role in supporting schools during critical periods by providing subject-specific cover or general teaching assistance when regular staff are absent. The roles can vary in duration, with many temporary positions offering pathways to permanent teaching roles. As a Hays Supply Teacher, you can select your working days and decline roles that do not suit you. You can work full-time, part-time, or flexibly.

We collaborate with schools across Dartford, Gravesend, Medway, Maidstone, Tunbridge Wells, Sevenoaks, Sittingbourne, Canterbury, Thanet, Deal, Dover, Folkestone, and Ashford. Long-term supply roles often lead to permanent positions, making supply teaching an excellent way to showcase your talent to local schools.

What you'll need to succeed
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualifications (PGCE, QTS, QTLS)
