Your new role

Supply teachers support schools during critical periods by providing subject-specific or general teaching assistance when regular staff are absent. These roles can vary in duration and often serve as pathways to permanent teaching positions. As a Hays Supply Teacher, you can select your working days and decline roles that do not suit you. You may work full-time, part-time, or flexibly.

We work with schools across Dartford, Gravesend, Medway, Maidstone, Tunbridge Wells, Sevenoaks, Sittingbourne, Canterbury, Thanet, Deal, Dover, Folkestone, and Ashford. Long-term supply roles often lead to permanent offers, making supply teaching an excellent way to showcase your talent to local schools.

What you'll need to succeed

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualifications (PGCE, QTS, QTLS)
• At least 2 months of UK teaching experience in the past 4 years (including university placements)
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Commitment to professional standards and student development
• Right to work in the UK
