Job summary

Fife Council is seeking a highly skilled primary GTCS registered teacher of Learning Support to drive inclusive learning and achievement for all children in the Pupil Support Service, Central Area Of Fife.

You will lead learning within your classroom, promote inclusion, communicate with stakeholders, and contribute to wider school improvements across the community. The role requires permanent GTCS registration and PVG clearance.

We are looking for a highly skilled primary GTCS registered teacher of Learning Support who is passionate about improving life chances for all through a professional commitment to making a difference for all our children and young people so that they achieve their full potential.

As a teacher in Fife, you will be responsible for leading learning within your classroom context, promoting inclusion, diversity and equality, communicating with other stakeholders and for contributing to wider improvements across the school community.

Qualification, Registration and Skill Requirements

You are required to have high levels of interpersonal skills and abilities which will enable you to work as a member of a team to ensure positive outcomes for all children and young people in your setting.

You are required to demonstrate a commitment to your own professional learning as a practitioner through career-long professional learning activity and to be able to show how this has impacted on your practice.

Before confirming your appointment, you will be required to obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland and become a member of the relevant PVG scheme and as already mentioned this vacancy is only open to teachers who are fully GTCS registered within Primary.

As this is a permanent post full GTCS registration is required.

You are required to model all behaviour expected of a teacher in Scotland in line with the relevant Professional Standards.

Candidates holding GTCS registration in Further Education must also hold Primary or Secondary registration to meet the essential criteria as determined by Fife Council. For teaching specific subjects you must be fully registered with GTCS to teach those subjects.
