Support For Learning Teacher
Queensferry Primary School

Hours: 19.83 per week
Salary: £36,159 -£54,453

Working pattern: Tuesday/Thursday/Friday

An exciting opportunity has arisen at Queensferry Primary School. We are looking for an innovative Support For Learning Teacher to join us on a part time permanent basis.

The post is suitable for an experienced, enthusiastic classroom practitioner who is motivated to provide the best learning and teaching experiences for our pupils while bringing new ideas and skills to our school team. The successful candidate should demonstrate excellent classroom practice with sound knowledge of Curriculum for Excellence and the skills to develop creative and inspiring learning experiences. They should have a strong understanding of the principles of nurture and Getting It Right For Every Child. Alongside this,knowledge and understanding of how we can removebarriers to progress and learning,and a range of interventions which support young people would be essential.

Queensferry Primary School is a non-denominational school within the City of Edinburgh Council. It is situated within the historic Royal Burgh of Queensferry and on a school campus with two buildings. With a growing pupil roll, we currently have 20 primary classes and 5 nursery classes.

This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. Anunconditional offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.

Salaries will be in accordance with the Scheme of Salaries and Conditions of Service for Teaching Staff in School Education.
