SEN Teacher – ASC & Complex Needs | Immediate & September Start Opportunities Available
Are you a passionate and experienced teacher looking for your next meaningful role in special education? A vibrant and nurturing all-through special needs school is currently welcoming applications from skilled SEN teachers to join their dedicated team—either for an immediate start or to begin in September.
You’ll be teaching a small mixed Year 6 and 7 class of eight pupils, all with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and additional complex learning needs. The children are working towards Key Stage 1 curriculum expectations and benefit from a highly supportive and structured environment. The class is very active, with movement and physical activity integrated into daily learning.
This role is supported by a tutor and four experienced teaching assistants, providing a strong staff-to-student ratio. Many of the pupils require 1:1 support and use a range of Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) systems, including symbol boards, Makaton, and VOCA devices.
You’ll be joining a team that embraces creativity, communication, and compassion, guided by the school’s inclusive ethos: Love, Learn, Laugh. We’re looking for a skilled and empathetic teacher who has experience working with children with special educational needs, particularly ASC. You should be confident using or willing to learn AAC methods, and bring a flexible, imaginative approach to teaching.
Leading a dynamic support team within your classroom will be central to your success in this role. If you're ready to inspire, support, and truly connect with your students—and you'd like to join a school that values every child’s unique potential—we’d love to hear from you.
Interviews and trial days are being held immediately, with positions available for both immediate and September start dates. Apply now to be part of a passionate team committed to making every day meaningful for their learners.
