Job summary

Prospect House Primary Specialist School is seeking an experienced SEN teacher to join during a fixed‑term maternity cover from October 2026 until August 2027. The role focuses on delivering a highly personalised curriculum for pupils with severe, profound and complex needs, aligned to EHCP outcomes.

You will work within a specialist provision, collaborating with therapists, families and external agencies to continuously improve practice and provide an inspiring learning environment for children.

Qualifications

  • Substantial experience working with pupils with severe, profound and/or complex learning difficulties.
  • Understanding of communication needs, sensory regulation and personalised curriculum design.
  • Passion for embedding an "I can do" culture.
  • Desire to influence practice beyond one’s own classroom.

Overview

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Teacher (SEN) to join our team at Prospect House Primary Specialist School. This is a fixed‑term, full‑time role to cover maternity leave. The salary is on teaching terms offering MPS‑UPS plus SEN allowance, starting in October 2026 until August 2027.
