Dumfries and Galloway Council is seeking a Primary Teacher for Sandhead Primary School. This temporary position offers a salary on the Unpromoted Teachers Scale and requires GTCS registration. The role commences on 19th August 2025 and is for up to one academic year.

We are seeking to recruit a Primary Teacher for 35 hours per week at Sandhead Primary School, part of the Sandhead and Drummore Partnership. The position will commence on 19th August 2025 for up to one academic year.
This position may be suitable for a Secondment. Agreement from your line manager must be sought before applying on a secondment basis.
Applicants must be registered with the General Teaching Council for Scotland (GTCS), Clerwood House, 96 Clermiston Road, Edinburgh, EH12 6UT, in the appropriate sector.
This post is considered Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG scheme update check before a formal offer of employment is made by Dumfries and Galloway Council.
Applicants who have resided outside the UK within the last 5 years, if offered the position, will need to provide a police record check from the police authority in the country or countries of residence, in addition to a Disclosure Scotland Check.
