Job summary

Harlow College is seeking a passionate Plumbing teacher to educate full-time students and apprentices up to Level 2 within a dynamic Further Education setting.

The role involves delivering engaging theory and practical lessons, assessing learner progress, and supporting diverse needs in a hybrid working environment. The college will assist the successful candidate to gain a teaching qualification at no cost, and ongoing professional development is available.

Qualifications

• Assessor qualification (A1) and/or Verifier qualification (V1) or willingness to work towards this.
• Level 2 Plumbing qualification or above.
• Industry experience in Plumbing.
• Experience teaching or training others.
• Level 4 or above teaching qualification or willingness to work towards this.
• GCSE Maths & English at grade C or above or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Teach Plumbing to full-time students and apprentices (up to Level 2).
• Deliver theory and practical lessons and provide hands-on training to develop industry-ready skills.
• Assess student performance and track progress, providing constructive feedback.
• Support individual learning needs and remove barriers to learning.
• Create an inclusive learning environment and stay current with industry trends and best practices.
