Job description

Remedy are seeking an experienced and nurturing Part-Time SEN Teacher to join a specialist provision based in Colchester. You will be supporting children and young people with a range of special educational needs, including SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health), ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder), and associated learning difficulties.

About The Role:

  • Deliver creative, individualised teaching and learning plans
  • Work closely with therapists, support staff, and families to create a cohesive support network
  • Foster a positive, calm, and inclusive classroom environment
  • Monitor progress and adapt strategies to ensure each learner achieves their potential
  • Maintain accurate records in line with EHCPs and provision requirements

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or equivalent)
  • Proven experience teaching pupils with SEN, particularly SEMH and ASD
  • A trauma-informed, child-centred approach to education
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A calm, flexible and empathetic nature
