Are you passionate about shaping future citizens who think critically, care deeply, and contribute meaningfully to society? We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed Teacher of Sociology, Health & Social Care, and Psychology to join our thriving Social Studies faculty; a dynamic, diverse, and ambitious team committed to excellence in teaching and learning.
Our faculty delivers an enriching curriculum that empowers students to explore and understand the complexities of the world around them. From analyzing social issues and British values to examining healthcare impacts and human psychology, our curriculum challenges learners to form and express informed opinions. We encourage engagement with real-world problems, such as caring for an aging population or solving the UK housing crisis.
We set high expectations, prioritize social responsibility, and foster curiosity. With strong uptake in GCSE and A-Level subjects like Sociology, Psychology, Business, Economics, Geography, and Health & Social Care, our department is central to the school community. Our recent focus includes improving high achievement through curriculum design and closing gaps for pupil premium students with a 'PP first' approach.
