Salary: MPS/UPS (dependent on experience)

Our client, a well-regarded academy in Essex, is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Teacher of Sociology to join their vibrant and forward-thinking Humanities and Social Sciences department as soon as possible. Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high-quality Sociology lessons to students at Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5.
  • Plan and prepare engaging, inclusive lessons that inspire and challenge all learners.
  • Assess, monitor, and report on student progress in line with school and exam board expectations.
  • Support the wider curriculum through contributions to departmental initiatives and extra-curricular activities.
  • Maintain a positive classroom environment that promotes respect, learning, and achievement.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Hold UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent overseas teaching qualification.
  • Have experience teaching Sociology at GCSE and A-Level.
  • Demonstrate a passion for the subject and a commitment to delivering high standards of teaching and learning.
  • Be a strong communicator with excellent organisational and classroom management skills.
  • Be committed to continuous professional development and collaborative working.
