Overview

Teacher of Social Sciences at Knole Academy

Knole Academy in Sevenoaks is looking for a well-qualified, enthusiastic professional to teach up to Sixth Form in an all-ability mixed academy with excellent resources and accommodation. The post holder would be required to teach sociology, criminology and a few lessons of geography (KS3). The role is 0.8 FTE.

Responsibilities
  • Teach Sociology, Criminology and Geography (KS3).
  • Provide high-quality teaching and contribute to the development of the Social Sciences department.
  • Support staff wellbeing, maintain an effective work-life balance and contribute to a positive academy culture.
  • Engage with safeguarding requirements and uphold the welfare of children; Enhanced DBS Disclosure will be required.
  • Adhere to the academy policies and participate in broader school activities as appropriate.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Suitable for either an Early Career Teacher (ECT) seeking mentoring and support or an experienced teacher.
  • Demonstrated ability to teach sociology, criminology and geography (KS3) to an all-ability student cohort.
  • Committed to safeguarding and protecting the welfare of children.
Contract and Salary
  • Contract Type: Permanent/Fixed Term
  • Contract Term: Part-Time
  • Salary: MPS + Fringe Allowance (£34,398.00 - £46,839.00 Annually FTE)
