Job Purpose

Seeking a qualified, ambitious, and passionate Teacher of Science to join the Science Department at Weydon School, Surrey, England.

The Science department is an exciting place to join. The team collaborates closely with colleagues across the Trust, under the guidance of the Trust Director of Science, who provides access to professional development opportunities. We have a large cohort of students studying Separate Science, with over half of the cohort following this route.

You will join a forward-thinking and ambitious department, aiming to develop both the intent and implementation of the science curriculum to provide the best education in science for our students.

Requirements

• Be an excellent practitioner with a passion and enthusiasm for teaching Science, demonstrated through your teaching practice.
• Have a clear understanding of what makes a successful science lesson and the importance of collaboration within the department and across the school/Trust.
• Be passionate about teaching science and recognize the importance of supporting students through tutoring and extracurricular activities to enhance their learning experience.
