St Thomas More is a good school (Ofsted 2022), committed to high standards of growth and professional development. We are seeking an outstanding Teacher of Science, ideally with a Physics specialism, for a permanent, full-time position starting September 2025. The role includes departmental responsibility as KS5 Curriculum & Progress Lead for A Level Sciences (TLR 2a) and involves taking responsibility for the teaching schedule, schemes of learning, assessment, and monitoring within KS5 A Level Sciences.
The department is well-resourced and supported by skilled technicians, with large laboratories for each teacher. We focus on engagement and practical skills in Science to nurture future scientists. The school offers a supportive, inclusive environment with opportunities for career development, training (NPQML, NPQSL), and further CPD, supported by the diocese and local SCITT providers.
