Job summary

Sir Harry Smith Community College is seeking a maternity cover Science teacher for an 11-18 academy within Aspire Learning Trust, starting February 2027 for up to one year. You will teach Science across KS3/KS4 and may contribute to KS5 where possible, with a focus on raising attainment and supporting colleagues.

Excellent classroom practice and a commitment to safeguarding are essential; visa sponsorship is not available. The role welcomes both experienced and early career teachers.

Job description

Maternity cover post teaching Science at Sir Harry Smith Community College, an 11-18 academy, for up to one year from February 2027. The core work is classroom teaching of Science at Key Stage 3 and 4, with Key Stage 5 welcome but not required.
