Teacher of Science Coventry ASAP/September

Job Type: Full-time

Contract Type: Temp to Perm

Pay rate: £150-£260

A vacancy for a full-time Teacher of Science has arisenwithin one of our Good Ofsted-rated and all-inclusive Secondary Schools in Coventry. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious and outstanding practitioner to join this vibrant School on a temp-to-perm basis starting ASAP/September. The ability to teach Physics to KS5 level would be an advantage.

This modern and student-focused School welcomes applications from qualified and dedicated Teachers who can inspire and develop students through their teaching and knowledge of the curriculum, hold a creative approach to their lesson delivery and are confident in strategies to enable all students to make or exceed their levels of progress.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Have regard for the need to safeguard pupils well-being following statutory provisions
  • Plan and deliver a broad, balanced and relevant Science curriculum tailored to meet the diverse needs of all students in line with the National Curriculum
  • Set high standards that inspire and motivate learners, ensuring they reach their potential
  • Assess, record, and report on student progress while maintaining accurate records
  • Manage behaviour effectively to ensure a good and safe learning environment following the school s behaviour policy
  • Committed to developing your own pedagogy , responding to advice and feedback from colleagues
  • Communicate effectively with parents and other professionals about pupils achievements and well-being

Must have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Satisfactory references covering the last 2 years
  • Enhanced DBS Certificate (Child/Child & Adult Workforce) on the Update Service or willing to pay and apply for a new one (Twenty4Seven Education can assist you with this process)
  • Experience teaching within an educational setting or similar
  • Up-to-date knowledge of the National Curriculum
  • Excellent Science subject knowledge
  • Read the DfE Keeping Children Safe in Education (2024) document
  • Excellent classroom management
  • Good Literacy, Numeracy and IT skills
