Are you an outstanding classroom practitioner looking to advance your career? We seek a talented and dedicated Science Teacher to join our management team within the department. This full-time, permanent role offers the opportunity to take on additional responsibilities as Deputy Head of the Science Department.

About Our Science Department

Our Science department has been excellently led over the past decade, equipped with excellent resources, curriculum materials, and significant investment in technology.

Main Duties

1. Enhance teaching and learning across the three sciences.
2. Create and deliver high-quality lessons and lesson plans.
3. Develop and train staff through observation, feedback, and advice to improve teaching quality.
4. Monitor subject delivery, resource development, and student progress.
5. Take appropriate action to address any issues identified through monitoring.
6. Promote challenging, purposeful, enjoyable, and appropriately differentiated lessons.
7. Foster good behaviour to create a purposeful learning environment and support colleagues in achieving this.

Deputy Head of Science Requirements
