Job summary

ATAM Academy in Wolverhampton is seeking a well-qualified, inspirational and motivated teacher of Science to join our expanding school. You will teach combined and triple science at GCSE and single sciences at A Level, contributing to a culture of outstanding teaching and learning, supported by a dedicated team and a Director-led science department.

The school opened in 2016 as an all-through Free School and is now on a rapid journey of sustained improvement, offering opportunities to contribute

Qualifications

• The successful candidate will have a passion for Science and be committed to high-quality teaching.
• Experience delivering GCSE and A Level sciences is desirable but not required.

ATAM Academy is part of One Multi Academies Trust (OMAT) and is our first “all-through” school. OMAT is a Multi Academy Trust with 1 other secondary school based in Wolverhampton.

We are seeking a well-qualified, inspirational and motivated teacher of Science. We offer combined and triple science at GCSE and single sciences at A Level. The successful candidate will have a passion for the subject, demonstrate drive, commitment and creativity to support us in providing the best possible opportunities for our pupils through outstanding teaching and learning. In return, we can offer you support from a highly committed and experienced team with a strong and positive ethos, where every pupil is encouraged to be the best they can be. If appointed, you will have the opportunity to contribute to a professional and hard-working science department led by a very experienced Director, as well as a school that is on a rapid and sustained journey of sustained improvement and outcomes.

Atam Academy is an all-through Free School which opened in September 2016. In September 2025 we admitted our final cohort into the new Year 13. We are now open in every year group from Nursery to Y13 with approximately 1250 pupils. This is an exciting time to join a professional and determined staff team who have made rapid improvements over the previous academic years.
