Avon Valley Academy seeks a dynamic Teacher of Science to join its dedicated Science Department. This role offers the opportunity to educate students aged 11 to 16 and contribute to a vibrant learning community. We welcome applications from experienced teachers or ECTs who are passionate about fostering student success and engagement in science education. Avon Valley Academy is looking to appoint a highly skilled Teacher of Science to join its supportive and dedicated Science Department, with effect from September 2025. This is a wonderful opportunity for an experienced teacher or ECT, who is passionate about helping every student to succeed. Full or part-time hours will be considered for the right candidate.
Working Hours: Full time or Part time.
We are a thriving, co-educational school, educating young people between the ages of 11 and 16. Located in Durrington, Wiltshire, our school has a strong reputation for being at the heart of the community and has built strong relationships with the two local army bases at Larkhill and Bulford. The successful candidate will be able to teach across the full age and ability range (Key Stage 3 – Key Stage 4) and will be a team player happy to collaborate and share ideas with other teachers within the Science Department. QTS status is essential for the role.
