Teacher of Science

Location: Hackney

Salary: MPS1 - UPS3

Start Date: September 2025

We are a ‘Good with outstanding features’ secondary school located in the heart of Hackney. We are seeking to appoint an experienced Science Teacher or a Science ECT to join our team for September 2025. The position is full-time and permanent.

Teacher of Science Responsibilities:

• Teaching across KS3, KS4, and potentially KS5
• Delivering good and outstanding Science lessons
• Raising student attainment
• Full-time, permanent position
• Contract directly with the school
• Inner London pay scale (MPS / UPS)
• Must hold UK QTS
• Ambitious and proactive personality
• Passionate about Science education
• Ability to teach Science to a high standard
• Good understanding of the Science curriculum
• Recent lesson observations graded ‘good’ or ‘outstanding’
• Experience in team leadership or staff management is advantageous
• Previous responsibilities in pastoral or curriculum areas are a plus
