Job description

An East Riding of Yorkshire based secondary school seeks to appoint a Teacher of Science to work in a permanent, full-time role from September 2024. The successful Teacher will be responsible for teaching Science to pupils in KS3 and KS4. Applicants of all Science specialisms will be considered, but the school Head Teacher will be particularly keen to hear from those with Physics and Chemistry specialisms. There may also be an opportunity for the selected candidate to teach some A-level. The school is ideally seeking a full-time teacher, but applications from skilled and experienced candidates may be considered for a part-time role.

This large secondary school is based in the East Riding of Yorkshire. It boasts an excellent local and national reputation.

Responsibilities of the Science Teacher:
  • Teach Science to KS3 and KS4 students.
  • Potentially teach some A-level Science, depending on experience and qualifications.
  • Contribute to the overall educational experience of students.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Experience of teaching Science to KS3 and KS4.
  • A passion for the progress of secondary-aged pupils.
  • An ability to work as part of a team.
