About The Role
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Teacher of Science to join our vibrant secondary school community in the Dartford/Northfleet area from September 2025. This is an exciting opportunity for a committed educator to inspire and engage students across Key Stages 3 and 4, and potentially Key Stage 5, depending on experience.
The successful candidate will deliver high-quality science lessons across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics, fostering a love of learning and scientific enquiry. You will play a vital role in helping our students achieve their academic potential and develop essential skills for future study or employment.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons in line with the National Curriculum.
- Plan, assess, and report on student progress regularly.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Participate in departmental planning and school-wide initiatives.
- Support and contribute to the wider life of the school, including clubs, trips, or enrichment activities.
- Uphold the schools ethos and promote high standards of behaviour and academic achievement.
Person Specification
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.
- A degree in a relevant science discipline.
- Experience teaching science at Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 desirable).
- Excellent subject knowledge and a passion for teaching.
- Strong classroom management and organisational skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.
