Are you passionate about Science and keen to inspire the next generation of scientists? A secondary school in the Farnborough area is looking to appoint a full-time Teacher of Science to join their thriving department from September 2025.
This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and motivated Science teacher to join a supportive team that is committed to providing an engaging and practical Science curriculum. Whether you're an Early Career Teacher or an experienced educator, you'll play a key role in delivering high-quality lessons across all areas of Science and helping to shape the future of Science education in the school.
You will be teaching General Science across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the chance to focus on your specialism and support the department in driving forward achievement and progress. The school is working towards expanding provision to offer Triple Science to high-attaining students, and is keen to appoint a teacher who will bring enthusiasm and fresh ideas to the department.
You will:
Deliver engaging, inclusive lessons that promote scientific curiosity
Teach Biology, Chemistry, and Physics across KS3-KS4 (with your specialism highlighted at KS4)
Contribute to curriculum development and planning within the department
Support and challenge students of all abilities to achieve their potential
Engage with practical learning and take advantage of the department's strong focus on experiments and STEM activities
Work collaboratively with colleagues and take part in wider school events and enrichment opportunities
A welcoming and ambitious Science department with five fully equipped labs
Access to well-organised science resources and two dedicated technicians
A hands-on, practical curriculum supported by new schemes of work
Opportunities to take part in STEM events and external partnerships with organisations such as McLaren and The Smallpeice Trust
Regular co-planning time and support to help manage workload
