Teacher of Science - Leicestershire
  • Start date: 29th April 2025
  • End date: 11th July 2025
  • Full-time and long-term position
  • Teaching Science at KS3 & KS4

Hays are working in partnership with an 11-16 Secondary School in Leicestershire. The school are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Science Teacher. This is a part-time role from after Easter 2025 to the end of the academic year.

For this role, you will be experienced in teaching Science across Key Stage 3 and 4, including at GCSE. Due to this being a long-term contract, full teaching responsibilities including planning and marking will be required.

Job Description
  • Deliver engaging and creative Science lessons to students in Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Plan and prepare schemes of work, lesson plans, and assessments.
  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback.
  • Contribute to the development of the department's curriculum.
  • Participate in extracurricular activities such as Science/STEM clubs and school trips.
Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. ECTs are welcome to apply.
  • Bachelor's degree in Science or related field.
  • Recent experience teaching Science at secondary school level.
  • Strong behaviour and classroom management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other teachers and staff members.
