Job description

Job Description

Beccles High School - Beccles, Suffolk NR34 7BQ

  • Role: Teacher of Science
  • Salary: MPR/UPR
  • Type: Full Time, Permanent
  • Reference: 7345
  • Start Date: September 2025

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented Teacher of Science to join our school.

The school is enthusiastically embracing the journey to excellence. Since joining Sapientia Education Trust in September and being renamed, we focus on the young people we serve, their learning experience, and personal development. We are proud of the positive impact we are making on their futures.

Our school is friendly, supportive, and inclusive. As a small community, everyone knows and supports each other, working collectively towards shared goals for our students. Leadership maintains an open-door policy, and teachers have their own rooms with minimal marking requirements.

We offer a diverse range of opportunities, including 100 minutes per fortnight of enhancement activities such as sports, arts, community projects, and academic extensions. We also plan to introduce after-school academies in football, STEM, and performing arts delivered by external professionals.

The trust provides comprehensive induction, employee benefits like the Local Government Pension Scheme, professional development through our 'Academy of Learning,' Cycle2work, store discounts, and welfare programs. Our small size offers opportunities for quick skill development and experience sharing among staff.

The school is located in a scenic market town near the Norfolk Broads, with easy access to beaches and the city of Norwich, about 25 minutes away. Housing is affordable, and the lifestyle is relaxed.

Join us in creating a nurturing environment where all students feel valued, supported, and inspired to reach their potential.
