Overview

Teacher of Science (Biology & Chemistry) – Wirral – Part Time

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a dedicated and inspiring Teacher of Science (Biology and Chemistry) to join a successful secondary school partner on the Wirral. This is a part-time role (0.6 over 4 days per week), starting after October half-term and continuing for the remainder of the academic year. The position offers a competitive daily rate of up to £232.56 per day, depending on experience.

The Role

As a Teacher of Science, you will:

  • Deliver engaging and challenging lessons in Biology and Chemistry at KS3 and KS4.
  • Plan and assess lessons in line with the school's curriculum and assessment policies.
  • Inspire and motivate students to develop a passion for Science.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school, supporting its ethos and values.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching Biology and Chemistry in a secondary school setting.
  • Strong subject knowledge and the ability to deliver lessons that engage and stretch learners.
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people.
