Are you an inspiring Teacher of Religious Education with a passion for exploring faith, belief, and values in a diverse and multicultural context? We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our successful RE department in a diverse and inclusive academy in Hayes. This is a full-time, permanent position commencing in September 2025.

About the RE Department:

About the Role:
  • Teach Religious Education across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the possibility of teaching at Key Stage 5 depending on experience and interest.
  • Use a range of teaching methods and resources, including discussions, debates, case studies, and guest speakers, to bring RE to life for students.
  • Assess student progress, set targets, and provide constructive feedback to support individual learning journeys.
  • Contribute to the department's curriculum development and resource creation, ensuring that our RE curriculum remains relevant and challenging.
  • Foster an appreciation of different religions and worldviews in students, encouraging them to develop their own beliefs and values in a respectful and tolerant manner.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues in the department and across the school to create a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance your teaching practice and keep abreast of the latest developments in RE education.
Ideal Candidate:
  • Holds QTS or equivalent.
  • Possesses excellent subject knowledge in Religious Education.
  • Demonstrates a passion for teaching RE and a commitment to student success.
  • Has strong communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
  • Is confident in building rapport with students and fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Has a good understanding of the National Curriculum for RE.
  • Is committed to ongoing professional development and reflective practice.
