Are you a passionate and engaging Teacher of Psychology with a desire to inspire students to explore the complexities of human behaviour and mental processes? We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our supportive Psychology department in a high-achieving school in Kensington.

About the Psychology Department:

About the Role:

  • Teach Psychology across Key Stages 4 and 5, with the possibility of contributing to PSHE lessons.
  • Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons that cater to a variety of learning styles and abilities.
  • Use a range of teaching methods and resources, including experiments, discussions, case studies, and research projects, to bring Psychology to life for students.
  • Assess student progress, set targets, and provide constructive feedback to support individual learning journeys.
  • Contribute to the department's curriculum development and resource creation, ensuring that our Psychology curriculum remains relevant and challenging.
  • Foster a love of Psychology in students, encouraging them to explore different psychological perspectives and develop their understanding of human behaviour.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues in the department and across the school to create a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance your teaching practice and keep abreast of the latest developments in Psychology education.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Holds QTS or equivalent.
  • Possesses excellent subject knowledge in Psychology.
  • Demonstrates a passion for teaching Psychology and a commitment to student success.
  • Has strong communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
  • Is confident in building rapport with students and fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Has a good understanding of the National Curriculum for Psychology and relevant examination specifications.
  • Is committed to ongoing professional development and reflective practice.
