Teacher of Psychology

Location: Southwark
Contract type: Permanent
Start date: September 2025
Salary: Inner London (£38,766 - £60,092)

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Teacher of Psychology to join a thriving school in Southwark from September. The successful candidate will have a passion for teaching Psychology and the ability to inspire students across Key Stages 4 - 5 depending on your experience.

The school is part of a diverse and dynamic community, where students from a wide range of backgrounds come together to learn, grow, and achieve. They are proud of their Ofsted rating of "Good", which reflects their dedication to providing an exceptional education and fostering a supportive and inspiring environment for both students and staff.

Key responsibilities:

* Deliver engaging and innovative Psychology lessons that challenge students.
* Foster a positive learning environment that encourages student progress and a love of Psychology.
* Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support development.
* Contribute to the development of the Psychology curriculum and departmental resources.
* Participate in extracurricular activities, school events, and enrichment programmes.

Requirements:

* UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or on track to receive by September.
* Right to Work in the UK.
* A degree in Psychology or a related field from a reputable university.
* Proven experience teaching Psychology to KS5 (ECTs are welcome to apply).
* Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage and motivate students.
* A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
