Required for: September 2025 (maternity cover until May 2026)

We are seeking to appoint an innovative and dynamic Teacher of PE at our preparatory school, with a focus on girls’ sport and mixed PE/games with younger pupils. The successful candidate will have extremely high standards of conduct, excellent communication skills and a record of high-quality, inspirational teaching across the prep age range (5-11). This position offers a great opportunity to a charismatic and ambitious professional to work collaboratively with the Head of Prep PE, to ensure an exciting, innovative and balanced provision of sport and PE is on offer throughout the prep school.

The successful candidate will also be expected to contribute fully to the pastoral and extra-curricular life of the School.

This is a full-time post to cover maternity leave until the end of May 2026. We welcome applications from suitably experienced teachers from both the independent and state sectors. The ability to teach swimming is highly desirable but not essential.

Highclare Preparatory School offers an exceptional working environment. This is a unique role as Highclare Preparatory School is split over three locations (Highclare St Paul’s, Highclare Woodfield and Highclare Sports Fields). The successful candidate will work across both prep sites.
