Job summary

St Joseph's College invites applications for an outstanding Teacher of Physics to support the Head of Science in delivering high-quality physics teaching across KS3, KS4 and KS5. The role requires a dynamic, inspiring teacher with a proven track record of excellent teaching and experience of teaching Physics at A Level.

The curriculum covers combined science at KS3 and separate sciences at GCSE/A-Level, with Triple Science option available for GCSE.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Support the Head of Science in ensuring high standards of delivery of Physics at KS3, KS4 and KS5.
• Deliver engaging physics lessons that meet the needs of a diverse student cohort.
• Contribute to safeguarding and DBS clearance process as part of employment.

Job description

St Joseph's College has a proud history of strong results within the Sciences and seeks to appoint an outstanding Teacher of Physics.

Science is taught as a combined subject at KS3 and then as separate subjects at GCSE and A-Level. Approximately 25% of the GCSE cohort follow the Triple Science option route at GCSE, with the rest following the combined science award. At A-Level, all Sciences attract at least one class set of students in both the Lower and Upper Sixth.

Applications are invited for the position of Teacher of Physics to support the Head of Science in ensuring high standards of delivery of the subject at KS3, KS4 and KS5. The successful candidate will therefore, be a dynamic and inspiring teacher who has a proven track record of excellent teaching and experience of teaching Physics A Level.
