For Vacancies at Denominational Schools:
Evidence of Catholic Church Approval: Applicants must seek Catholic Church approval when submitting their application, and a copy of the approval should be provided to the Chair of the Panel before the interview. If pending, confirmation of submission will be sought from the Church Representative.
Denominational Primary Posts: Applicants for permanent primary school posts must have the Catholic Teaching Certificate or Catholic Religious Education Certificate. Forms and further information are available from the Scottish Catholic Education Service (SCES) website.
Denominational Secondary Posts: Applicants for secondary school posts need RC approval for the specific school. Forms and information are available from the SCES website.
This role involves regulated work with children under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007, requiring membership with the PVG scheme. Further details are available here. Successful applicants will need to join or update their PVG scheme membership before an offer is made.
The employment is exempt from section 4(2) of the Rehabilitation of Offenders (Exceptions) Order 1975. Applicants must disclose all convictions, including spent ones, as failure to do so could lead to dismissal or disciplinary action.
