Evidence of Catholic Church Approval - Applicants must seek Catholic Church approval when submitting their application and provide a copy to the Chair of the Panel before the interview. If pending, confirmation of submission will be sought from the Church Representative.
Denominational Primary Posts: Applicants must have the Catholic Teaching Certificate or Catholic Religious Education Certificate. Forms and further information are available at Scottish Catholic Education Service (SCES).
Denominational Secondary Posts: Applicants need RC approval for the specific school. Details are available at SCES.
This role is considered Regulated Work with Children under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007, requiring membership with the PVG scheme. Further details are available here. Membership or an update check is required before a formal offer.
The employment is excepted from section 4(2) of the Rehabilitation of Offenders (Exceptions) Order 1975. Applicants must disclose all convictions, including spent ones, as failure to do so could lead to dismissal or disciplinary action.
