Salary: MPS 1 – MPS 6 (Inner London Pay Scale)

Job overview

We are seeking to appoint an outstanding, qualified, and engaging role model who will play a significant role in the development of our young people, department, and wider school community. Our Lambeth Secondary School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff to share this commitment.

The successful candidate will have outstanding subject knowledge and be a true advocate for Physical Education. Physical Education, physical activity, and school sport are at the heart of our Lambeth Secondary School. We welcome applications from practitioners who can demonstrate dedication to the subject. Ideally, the candidate would be a Basketball Specialist with the vision and expertise to enhance our national successes and reputation.

Last deemed to be ‘Good with elements of Outstanding’ in November 2022.

PE Teacher requirements:

  • Hold UK QTS status
  • Have a vision and passion for PE, physical activity, and school sport which they can articulate
  • Be capable of teaching PE up to GCSE
  • Be a highly competent qualified teacher, demonstrating excellent subject knowledge
  • Be a reflective practitioner committed to continuous learning and development
  • Contribute to and show dedicated commitment to extra-curricular activities, including Basketball and Football
  • Have the desire to advocate for Physical Education and play an active role in the wider school community
