GSL Education’s Hull branch is looking to appoint an ambitious, energetic, and passionate Teacher of PE to work at an Ofsted graded ‘Good’ Secondary School located in Hull, East Riding of Yorkshire . Starting September 2024.

About the School:

  • Large Secondary School with over 1500 students.
  • Part of a large and well respected trust.

Teacher of PE Responsibilities:

  • Designing and implementing ability-appropriated Key Stage 3, GCSE and A-Level PE lessons.
  • Working with Female PE students.
  • Working with young people to enhance their teamwork and social skills.
  • Demonstrating proper techniques and providing clear instructions to ensure students understand and can perform the activities correctly.
  • Maintaining a safe environment during physical activities.
  • Evaluating students' progress and performance in physical education through various assessment methods, such as skill tests, fitness assessments, and observations.
  • Working closely with other teachers, administrators, and parents to support students' overall development and well-being.

Teacher of PE Requirements:

  • Hold UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant PE-Degree.
  • Have experience planning and delivering GCSE and BTEC PE.
  • Have relevant teaching experience within the last 2 years (placements will be accepted for ECTs).
  • Be able to differentiate accordingly for Special Educational Needs.
  • Be able to provide a 10-year career history with relevant reference details, including your 2 most recent employers.
  • Have a Child Only DBS registered to the update service or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education. DBS sponsorship is available for this position.
