A vibrant and inclusive secondary school in Coventry is looking for an enthusiasticMusic Teacherto join their talented team fromSeptember 2025on along-term, full-time basis. This supportive school has a well-equipped music department with fantastic facilities.

About the Role:
You’ll be leading engaging and creative music lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 is advantageous), helping students explore everything from classical compositions to modern music technology. Whether you’re conducting choirs, leading ensembles, or guiding students to success, your enthusiasm will make a real impact.

We welcome applications from enthusiastic and dependable Early Career Teachers and experienced teachers looking for a new challenge.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Have regard for the need to safeguard pupils’ well-being following statutory provisions
  • Plan and deliver a creative and inclusive Music curriculum tailored to meet the diverse needs of all students in line with the National Curriculum
  • Set high standards that inspire and motivate learners, ensuring they reach their potential
  • Assess, record, and report on student progress while maintaining accurate records
  • Manage behaviour effectively to ensure a good and safe learning environment following the school’s behaviour policy
  • Take responsibility for improving teaching through appropriate professional development, responding to advice and feedback from colleagues
  • Communicate effectively with parents and other professionals about pupils’ achievements and well-being

Vetting Checks:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Satisfactory references covering the last 2 years
  • Enhanced DBS Certificate (Child Workforce) on the Update Service or willing to pay and apply for a new one (Twenty4Seven Education can assist you with this process)

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience teaching Music at secondary level
  • Up-to-date knowledge of the National Curriculum (Music)
  • Read the DfE ‘Keeping Children Safe in Education’ (2024) document
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills
  • A genuine love for music and education
