Job Overview
Hours: Part time - 87.5% FTE (5 days)
This is an opportunity for an inspiring languages teacher with a passion for French to make a real impact in a thriving, forward-thinking MFL Department, within a prestigious independent school with a strong reputation for MFL teaching.
As a Teacher of Modern Languages, you will deliver engaging and challenging French lessons up to A Level, and ideally teach Spanish or German to Key Stage 3. You will inspire a love of languages, contribute to curriculum planning, and support trips, exchanges and extracurricular activities.
Working within a supportive and collaborative faculty, you will play a key role in helping students develop confidence, cultural awareness and strong linguistic skills.
About You
You will be an excellent communicator who can enthuse and inspire both pupils and colleagues and will have exciting ideas about MFL teaching and the ways in which languages can be further developed and encouraged across the school.
The ability to teach German would also be of interest, and the ability to teach Latin may also be beneficial.
We welcome applications from teachers seeking to return from a career break, experienced staff between roles or relocating, as well as early-career teachers wanting a stepping stone into high-calibre independent education.
