Job Title: Teacher of Modern Foreign Languages (Spanish)

Salary: MPS 1-6

Contract: Full-time, Permanent

The Role

  • We are seeking to appoint a passionate, dedicated and motivated Teacher of MFL, with excellent subject knowledge and strong classroom presence. You will:
  • Deliver engaging and interactive MFL lessons, primarily in Spanish, to Key Stage 3 and 4 students
  • Inspire a love of languages, supporting both written and oral language development
  • Use data and assessment effectively to raise student outcomes
  • Contribute to the wider life of the Academy, including trips, clubs, and enrichment activities
  • Support the development of MFL across the curriculum

Desirable: An interest in contributing to our wider MFL enrichment programme, including the opportunity to support more able students through Mandarin. (Specialist knowledge of Mandarin is not essential.)

The Ideal Candidate

We're looking for someone who:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Has a degree in a relevant subject (e.g., Spanish, MFL education)
  • Demonstrates strong subject knowledge and an ability to deliver high-quality teaching
  • Is committed to inclusive and aspirational education
  • Understands effective MFL pedagogy, particularly around oral and written skills
  • Has a passion for building student confidence, resilience, and cultural understanding
