Teacher of Maths – Westminster – Permanent

Salary: MPS (Inner London) + £2,000 Allowance + Performance and Loyalty Bonus + Pension Scheme (TPS) + Cash Plan + Additional Benefits

Summary:

We are looking to appoint a dedicated and inspiring Teacher of Maths to join our team. You will support our students and work with a committed staff to foster an excellent learning environment. This role offers opportunities for growth, inspiration, and development.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Implement and deliver a broad, balanced, and relevant curriculum for students.
  • Support students' overall progress and development as a teacher/form tutor.
  • Encourage a learning experience enabling students to achieve their potential.
  • Contribute to raising standards of student attainment.
  • Support the academy's goals for personal and academic growth.
Additional Responsibilities include:
  • Operational and strategic planning, including lesson planning and resource development.
  • Staff development and participating in Performance Management.
  • Monitoring and evaluating the quality of teaching and learning.
  • Managing information and tracking student progress.
  • Communicating with students, parents, and stakeholders.
  • Serving as a form tutor for a group of students.
  • Ensuring high-quality teaching and a safe learning environment.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Hold QTS (or equivalent) and a relevant undergraduate degree.
  • Successful secondary teaching experience, including in multi-ethnic urban schools.
  • Knowledge of effective teaching practices and curriculum requirements at KS3 and KS4.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and develop positive relationships.
  • Good ICT skills and innovative use of technology.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and spoken.
  • Ability to motivate students and raise aspirations.
